The first step in maintaining the trolley case is cleaning. Different materials, cleaners and cleaning methods are also different. Effective cleaning according to the material can remove the dust and stains of the box, and will not damage the appearance of the trolley box.

Box cleaning

Trolley case can be roughly divided into two categories: hard case and soft case.

1.Hard box

The common materials of Hard boxes in the market include ABS, PP, PC, thermoplastic composites, etc. Hard boxes are mostly characterized by high temperature resistance, wear resistance, impact resistance, waterproof and compression resistance, so hard boxes are more suitable for long-distance travel.

This material is also relatively simple and convenient to clean:

Wipe off the dust with a damp cloth, or use some neutral cleaners, such as household detergent (pH 5-7) to remove stubborn stains.

Gently scrub the shell back and forth with a clean soft cloth dipped in detergent until the dirt is cleaned.

After using detergent, remember to rinse the rag and then wipe the box to avoid detergent residue.

2.Soft box

Soft cases are generally made of canvas, nylon, EVA, leather, etc. their advantages are light weight, strong toughness and beautiful appearance, but their waterproof, compression resistance and impact resistance are not as good as hard cases, so they are more suitable for short distance travel.

Canvas, nylon, EVA material

Use wet cloth or viscose roller brush to clean the dust on the surface; When removing serious stains, you can use a wet cloth or soft brush dipped in neutral detergent to scrub.

Leather material

Special leather cleaning and care agent is required. Wipe the box surface evenly with a clean soft cloth. If slight leather discoloration is found on the soft cloth, it is normal. Oil and ink stains on the leather can not be removed generally. Please do not scrub repeatedly to avoid damaging the leather.

Internal / part cleaning

The cleaning work inside the trolley case is relatively much simpler, which can be wiped with a vacuum cleaner or a wet cloth.

It is better not to use any detergent to wipe the metal parts inside and outside the box, and dry the metal parts with a dry cloth after cleaning to prevent damage to its outer coating or oxidation and rust.

Check the pulley, handle, pull rod and lock at the bottom of the box, remove the stuck sundries and dust, and send the damaged parts for repair in time to facilitate the next trip.

Maintenance and storage

The vertical pull rod box should be placed upright without pressing anything on it. Keep away from high temperature and humid environment, avoid sunlight exposure, and keep ventilated and dry.

The shipping sticker on the trolley case should be removed as soon as possible.

When not in use, cover the trolley case with a plastic bag to avoid dust. If the dust accumulated over the years penetrates into the surface fiber, it will be difficult to clean up in the future.

The wheels at the bottom of the box should be lubricated with a little oil according to the actual situation to keep them smooth. When collecting, add a little oil to the axle to prevent rust.
